Who wouldn’t fall in love with the modern re-telling of Cinderella cloaked in Korean drama - Lovers in Paris? It’s too much of good thing that it raked in a phenomenal record-breaking feat in Korea with a monumental 57% in ratings.
Inspired by this success, ABS-CBN 2 and TFC (The Filipino Channel) recently produced and aired its much-anticipated version of Lovers in Paris starring Piolo Pascual and Kaycee Concepcion and Zanjoe Marudo. In the TV series, Vivian (Kaycee Concepcion) is a struggling film student in Paris. Carlo (PioloPascual) is the President of GD Motors. Martin (Zanjoe Marudo) is the rebel without a cause cousin of Carlo. Vivian and Carlo met in Paris when Vivian worked as cleaner to Carlo’s mansion. On the other hand, Martin’s heart was struck the first moment he saw Vivian in awe of the Eiffel Tower. As Vivian struggles in her job, Carlo asks her to pretend to be his fiance in a dinner meeting. On the other hand Martin tries unsuccessfully to reveal his feelings for Vivian. And the romance and conflict blossom in Paris and until their paths cross again in Manila…
One of the most romantic scenes wherein Carlo professed his love and devotion for Vivian was shot at the opulent Lobby Lounge of Heritage Hotel.
