For the 3rd year in a row, the Indonesian Embassy and The Heritage Hotel Manila in partnership with Cebu Pacific Airlines and Millennium Hotel Sirih Jakarta whisk to town a tandem of popular Indonesian Guest Chefs Augustinus Alfredo Sega and Primadi Herwantoro to cast their magic spells in the kitchen for ”Indonesian Spice and Everything Nice,” an Indonesian Food Promo amidst an international buffet spread for lunch and dinner from May 25 to June 7, 2009.

Crack up your appetite for exotic flavors at the Hot Sambal Dipping Bar and Traditional Indonesian Crackers station. Then lavish in seduction of spices that simply enthralls the palate: Daging sambal matah (Pan shirred beef toss with Balinese spices), Rujak buah (Young fruit with sweet peanut dipping), Daging besengek (Stewed beef in coconut coriander sauce), Ayam ganemo (Stewed fried chicken in green chili spicy), Rajungan bangka (Stewed crab in hot tomato ginger sauce), NasiMie goreng jawa ( Javanese fried noodle), Ayam bakar rujak (candlenut roast chicken), Sate ayam (Chicken skewer with peanut sauce) and Bandeng woku belanga (Steamed marinated milk fish).

A somersault of more diverse and intriguing flavors await at the interactive kitchen theatre for Kue terang bulan (Sumatranese pancake) Martabak telur (Egg in Hand folded dough), Tongseng kambing (Sweet dark Lamb curry), Lumpia semarang (Semarang fried vegetable roll) as well as the Noodle Nook for Cwimie malang (Minced beef noodle), Soto mie bogor(Noodle soup with spring roll), Laksa betawi(Shrimp coconut noodle soup).

On another hand, Vegans and Vegetarians will be elated with classical Indonesian gastronomic delights bursting with unique herbs and aromatic spices: Rujak buah (Young fruit with sweet peanut dipping), Selada Tondano (Young mango and Papaya salad), Tahu telur (Fried egg tofu with sweet Soya), Orak arik (Traditional scrambled vegetables), Karedok (Mix raw vegetables with peanut sauce), Selada Padang (Indonesian vegetable salad), Acar kuning (Yellow pickled vegetable), Asinan Betawi (Batavians sweet pickled) and Gado-gado (Blanch Mix vegetables with peanut sauce).

For sweet and happy endings, the Es cendol (Rice spetzel cocktail), Kue lapis Surabaya (Javanese chiffon cake), Kue Lumpur (Mud cake), Bubur sumsum (Rice mousse in glass) Es teller (Young coconut and avocado cocktail) are simply to-die-for.
